We're Back! Bring on 2025!

We've hit the ground running in 2025! All our sections met back tonight for the first meeting of the year.
The Squirrels and Beavers spent their evening having a catch up about their break, discussing the plan for the year ahead, playing games and finishing with a story and a biscuit.
We also chatted about our rules to remind everyone what we expect of each other.
We have kind feet and we don't deliberately hurt each other.
We have kind hands. We're gentle, we take turns and we share nicely.
We are good friends. We welcome all new members.
We use our listening ears. Only one person speaks at a time.
We say kind words and have nice manners.
So much done in so little time! How do we manage to squash all that into one hour!
After their meeting, it was time for the Cubs to reunite. For them, the evening started off very similarly to the younger sections'. Chatting about their break, what was coming up in the year ahead, some games.
From there, we moved onto the first activity: the World Badge Beetle Drive. The idea is simple, each face of the dice is worth one aspect of the World Badge. Stars, plumes, arrowhead, band, rope and purple background. To start a 6 must be rolled to earn the purple background before any other pieces can be awarded. Some aspects needed to be rolled twice to earn. There are two plumes and two stars. How frustrating it is trying to get the right number! After that, we worked together to try and navigate a marble through a labyrinth. A bit more frustration as it often fell down the holes, but it was fun!
